Thanks to a very seasoned interviewee for a position we were hiring a few weeks ago, we now have a Wikipedia entry to be proud of. It feels like a right of passage these days to get an article in Wikipedia and it is good to be there. I personally encourage all our readers to update the entry to keep us honest and humble. Together we can spread our enthusiasm for our mission statement: to help the world meet freely.
On that point, one attendee at Sundar's weekly featured meeting webinar yesterday asked us if Dimdim will remain free. With world financial markets in disarray it is good to know that Dimdim's real-time, rich media collaboration solution will remain free. Of course you can do a bit more with Dimdim Pro and Dimdim Enterprise, but Dimdim Free will always be with us. And you can always download and install Dimdim Open Source if you want to try to run your own servers on your own network.
Finally, we have some big news planned for the middle of October...so don't forget to come back, find out, and be the first to update Wikipedia when we do.

As you can probably tell, I'm experimenting with ways to leverage Web 2.0 in all we do at Dimdim. We've used Yahoo Pipes, TweetScan, PollDaddy and more to find out more about what you want and need from us. Here is my latest addition - a set of grunge tutorial videos showcasing Dimdim 4.0 and currently living on YouTube. Please view them and let me know how they can be better. One thing I've learned recently is that you can force YouTube to give you a high def version of these vids by add &fmt=18 to the end of the url. Enjoy.
